Assessing Effectiveness of HR

Traditionally, HR functions struggle with the perception of being the "gate keeper" or police of the organization. The HR Scorecard looks not just at functions performed but also how these tasks add value to the company.

Does HR understand the key drivers to your company's success and if so are your policies aligned to deliver that level of success?

Objective

We can assist companies in deciding how to assess their HR effectiveness in a wide range of areas, from recruiting to terminations, including training and development, communications, legislative compliance and HR metrics.

Action

Systematically reviewing all aspects of human resources, usually in a checklist fashion to ensure that government regulations and company policies are being adhered to. The key to a Scorecard is to remember it is a learning or discovery tool, not a test. There will always be room for improvement in every organization.

What does an HR Scorecard Measure?

We dedicate up to two full days on-site to review all employment-related practices, procedures, policies and metrics. An HR or Management representative should be made available for the majority of our on-site time to answer questions, provide samples of forms, etc. We will also review any written manuals. We provide a written Scorecard draft with recommendations one week after the on-site review.
